Tomoe Engineering Co., Ltd. was established as specialized manufacturer of centrifuges in 1941, and expanded its business area to importation of industrial chemicals in 1952 shortly after the end of World War ‡U. Since then, the company has developed more than a half-century as unique corporate entity having two different core businesses. As to the core businesses, one is the manufacture and distribution of separators as typified by centrifuges, and the other is the importation and distribution of industrial chemical products with a focus on advanced products from wide range of areas. The former is assumed by machine manufacture & distribution sector as a manufacturer, and the latter is assumed by chemical products distribution sector as a specialized trader.

Under this corporate philosophy, we aim to create and maximize the corporate value based on the management that satisfies all of our stakeholders.

At present, we are promoting �gTIP10,�h the 8th medium-term management plan, ending October 2010. In proceeding TIP10, we set the theme in two dimensions, �gthe continuous growth�h and �gthe innovation.�h �gThe continuous growth�h aims for continuous business expansion by implementation of steady growth of the existing core businesses. �gThe innovation�h aims for, by standing on a long-term perspective, establishment of new businesses we should enter through building of group structure, which is an innovative approach to enable Tomoe group a giant leap for many years to come.

Under the theme of �gthe continuous growth,�h in Machinery & Equipment Business, we will maintain our advantage in existing business area through promotion of production streamlining, expand energy and recycle markets where new demands are expected, and strengthen international operation particularly in China-focused Asia and North America.
In Chemical Products Business, our basic strategy lies in the introduction of high-value added products into Japan. Hence we will focus our efforts in finding and cultivating business seeds, and enrich business development system along with human resource development.

As to �gthe innovation�h, new business areas we should enter, in Machinery & Equipment Business, we aim at establishment of a sludge-to-fuel process and commercialization of its equipment for the purpose of CO2 reduction.
While in Chemical Products Business, we will develop nano-technology business in both equipment and products. We plan to create and nurture these new businesses, and reflect its achievement in the next medium-term management plan.

Meanwhile, as we have announced already, we set dividend payout ratio at 25% or more on a consolidated basis, and implement special gift plan for shareholders from half-year end of 2008.

As the corporation listed on the first section market, we are currently enhancing corporate governance. Nevertheless, we will put further efforts to strengthening it, fulfill our corporate social responsibility and aim to become true public company, to maintain everlasting corporate activities.
