Segregation of waste plastics by their specific gravity
Jointly with Nissho Iwai Plant Equipment and Miike Iron Works, Tomoe Engineering successfully developed a new system for segregation of waste plastics. The system was put out on the market in April 2001.
This segregation system will work, for instance, for separation and removal of vinyl chloride that emits toxic gas upon incineration from a variety of waste plastics. As compared with a competitive German-made counterpart, ours has 30 ~ 40% higher work efficiency, capable of processing 1 ~3 tons of plastics per hour.
With enactment of laws for recycling packing materials and home electric appliances, an increase in demand is in sight for such a waste plastic segregation system, and we are targeting local autonomies and waste disposal plants as viable markets.
