About Stat-Rite® Polymers
Stat-Rite® inherently static dissipative master batch products are permanently static dissipative polymer materials specially developed using Lubrizol’s patented Inherently Dissipative Polymer (IDP) technology. Typical loading of 10-25% shall impart surface resistivity in the range of 109-1011 Ω/□ to the final products. Lubrizol’s Stat-Rite Polymers have been used in HDD tray applications due to their highly effective permanent and humidity independent ESD performance for Class 0 device packaging due to its unique technology, performance and quality.
Features of Stat-Rite® Polymers
Permanent static dissipative: The IDP forms an interpenetrating network with the host polymer. Dissipative properties are permanent because the interpenetrating network dissipates static charge. And the dissipative properties do not change like antistatic agents, due to formation of the non migratory interpenetrating network.
Insensitive against moisture: The IDP static dissipative mechanism is different from antistatic agents; Stat-Rite polymers are moisture independent, providing the ability for effective static dissipative performance in extremely low humidity environments.
Cleanliness: Low outgassing, particle generation and ionic contaminant levels provide strong performance for a wide range of applications from cleanroom packaging to medical and electronics packaging.
