Cenolite ( ceramic balloon )

Description

Inorganic hollow sphere made from silica and alumina Lightweight aggregate.

Description

"Cenolite," lightweight ceramic hollow sphere (balloon), is made from SiO2 and Al2O3. It has various advantages compared with conventional lightweight fillers. Those advantages are attracting attentions especially in the construction, building and plastics industries.

Features

Reinforcement: Its compressive strength is far higher than conventional aggregates reinforces base material.
Enclosed hollow sphere: Spherical geometry increases a material flow.
Low moisture absorption: Enclosed spheres scarecely absorb moisture. It provides base material with anti-freezing property better than conventional aggregates.
Lightweight: Inorganic hollow spheres control specific gravity of paint and resins.
The addition to paint and resins also increases their thermal resistance.

Application

PC curtain wall (lightweight)
Lightweight concrete
Lightweight mortar (lightweight, flowability)
Refractory lining (lightweight)
Calcium silicate board (lightweight)
Paint, additives and pastes (lightweight, thermal insulation)
