Our long history traces back to 1950, when we were the first company in Japan to import carbon and graphite products and polyethylene from the American company Union Carbide Corporation. Since then, Tomoe Engineering, as a unique specialized trading firm mainly handling chemical products, has delivered products of superb quality to various countries for more than 60 years.
Throughout our 60-year history, the Chemical Products Division has also made great contributions to the epoch-making milestones of Japanese industry by introducing products and technology that were ahead of the times. With this tradition passed down from generation to generation, Tomoe Engineering provides not only cutting-edge, unparalleled products but also a wide variety of information and services under the policy of "Profit for Customers."
The current Chemical Products Division consists of six departments in Japan and a group of affiliated companies in Japan and overseas, as shown below.

Plastics Dept.
The division primarily handles raw materials of Japanese origin for synthetic resins and synthetic resin products. Nowadays, it also concentrates on the handling of imported raw materials for synthetic resins and the development of original products in particular.

Industrial Materials Dept.
We supply suitable industrial materials of organics and inorganics to customers' requirement through import globally.

Minerals Dept.
We supply various minerals obtained globally to versatile industries like construction, fertilizer, plastics, rubber, paint and steel.

Fine Chemicals Dept.
The Chemical Products Division's product lineup also includes diverse additives and auxiliaries to meet the needs of the paint/ink/adhesive and urethane industries to which we have mainly delivered raw materials.

Advanced Materials Dept.
The division offers cutting-edge materials and products represented by nanotechnology in addition to carbon/graphite products and special ceramic raw materials and products, which were the main products of Union Carbide Corporation.

Electronic Materials Dept.
It supplies not only products to be used for processes carried out after the manufacture of semiconductors (dicing, die bonding, wire bonding) but also IC-related transport materials and semiconductor assembly houses in every part of Japan.

Overseas Business Introduction
Expand the business in southern China regions ahead of our competitors, we aim to expand and promote. Also, mainly trading in Southeast Asian markets expands sales base in Thailand.
