Alumina Hydrate
Description
Aluminum hydroxide（Al(OH)3）, white crystal powder made by baeyer process, is stable material up to about 200℃. It turns out to be separated 66% of Al2O3 and 34％ of crystal water above the temperature.
It is very effective as flame retardant for its decomposition reaction through the heat absorption characteristics.
Features
Aluminum hydroxide shows dehydrating decomposition vigorously at 200～350℃ with huge heat absorption.Aluminum hydroxide added to rubber/plastics will act as superior flame retrdant by suppressing rise of temperature, self-extinguishing, smoke suppression and no noxious gas.
It enhances arc-resistance or tracking resistance characteristics for plastics.
Application
(1) For non-combustible purpose (wall material, paper, siding board etc.)(2) Various plastics for nn-combustible purpose
